Terms of Use

1The agreement

These Terms of Use are an agreement between you and Epsilon Developers, operated by Satyam Kushwaha & Anurag Mahajan, covering the QR Craft Android application and this website. By installing or using the App you accept them. If you do not accept them, do not use the App.

Your use is also subject to the Privacy Policy, the Acceptable Use Policy, the Subscription and Refund Policy and Google Play's own terms.

Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old, or the minimum age required where you live, to use the App. If you are under 18, use it only with the involvement and consent of a parent or legal guardian.

2Your licence

We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to install and use one copy of the App on devices you control, for your own purposes, personal or commercial. Codes and cards you make with it are yours.

You may not copy, modify, translate, reverse-engineer, decompile or create derivative works of the App, except to the extent that applicable law expressly permits it; rent, lease, lend, sell or sublicense it; remove any notice from it; or use it to build a competing product.

3How you may use it

You are responsible for what you encode, print, share and scan. In short: do not use QR Craft to deceive, defraud or harm anyone. The Acceptable Use Policy sets out what that means in practice, and it forms part of these Terms.

4Codes you create

A QR code is a way of writing data, not a guarantee about it. You warrant that you have the right to encode what you encode — a phone number, a UPI ID, a link, a person's contact details, a brand mark — and that doing so breaks no law and no one else's rights.

A printed code can be photographed, copied and re-used by anyone who sees it. Treat anything you put in a code as public.

5UPI and payment codes

• Check the payee before you pay or print. The App shows the UPI ID and payee name it read; confirm them in your UPI app, which shows the name registered with the bank.
• Test your own code with the in-app test and a small payment before a standee goes on a counter.
• We are not responsible for a payment made to the wrong payee, for a code altered or replaced after printing, or for any dispute between you and a payer or payee.

6Link safety is not a guarantee

The App inspects the address of a scanned link and, when it can, checks it against Google Web Risk. This reduces risk; it does not remove it. A dangerous site can be new, unlisted or reached through a redirect, and a check can be unavailable — in which case the App tells you plainly that the link was Not checked.

Deciding to open a link is yours. We are not liable for what a site you choose to open does.

7Printing and exports

The App exports images and print-ready PDFs at the size and resolution it states. Print results depend on your printer, paper, ink and the size at which you print. Always scan a proof before ordering a run: a code that is too small, too low-contrast or printed over a busy background may not read.

The in-app scan test decodes the exact image the App produced. It is strong evidence, not a warranty of readability on every device.

8Premium, ads and trials

The App is free to use and shows ads. Some features are unlocked by watching a short ad, and Premium removes the ads and unlocks everything. Premium is sold as a monthly subscription (which may include a free trial) or as a one-time lifetime purchase, both through Google Play.

Prices, billing, renewals, cancellations and refunds are covered by the Subscription and Refund Policy. We may change what is included in each plan for future purchases; a lifetime purchase keeps what it granted.

Attempting to unlock paid features by tampering with the App, faking purchases or blocking ad requests breaks this agreement.

9Third-party services

The App uses Google Play Billing, Google AdMob, Google Web Risk and Firebase Remote Config, and hands off to whatever app opens a scanned code. Those services are governed by their own terms and privacy policies. We are not responsible for them, and their availability can change.

The App is also built on open-source software, listed with its licences on the Open-source Licences page.

10Intellectual property

The App, its design, its artwork, its text and the QR Craft name and logo belong to Epsilon Developers and are protected by copyright and trade mark law. The card templates and code styles are ours; the cards and codes you make with them are yours.

“QR Code” is a registered trademark of DENSO WAVE INCORPORATED. Google Play, Android and Firebase are trademarks of Google LLC. UPI is a service of the National Payments Corporation of India. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by any of them.

11Disclaimer of warranties

The App is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including any implied warranty of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy or non-infringement. We do not warrant that the App will be uninterrupted or error-free, that every code will scan on every reader, or that a link check will identify every harmful site.

Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion of certain warranties, so parts of this section may not apply to you.

12Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Epsilon Developers is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for lost profits, revenue, data, goodwill or business, arising out of your use of the App — including a misdirected payment, a code that did not scan, a print run that had to be repeated, or a harmful site you opened.

Where liability cannot be excluded, our total liability is limited to the greater of (a) the amount you paid us for the App in the twelve months before the claim, or (b) ₹1,000.

Nothing here limits liability for fraud, or for death or personal injury caused by negligence, where the law does not permit that limitation.

13Indemnity

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Epsilon Developers from claims, damages and reasonable costs arising from your use of the App in breach of these Terms or of any law, or from content you encoded, printed or distributed.

14Termination

You may end this agreement at any time by uninstalling the App. We may suspend or end it if you materially breach these Terms. Sections that by their nature should survive — intellectual property, disclaimers, liability, indemnity and governing law — survive termination.

15Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of India, and the courts of competent jurisdiction in India have exclusive jurisdiction, without prejudice to any mandatory consumer-protection rights you have where you live.

If you have a complaint, please write to contact@epsilondevelopers.xyz before starting legal proceedings — we aim to resolve issues promptly and fairly.

Miscellaneous

• Entire agreement. These Terms and the policies they refer to are the whole agreement between you and us about the App.
• Severability. If a provision is found unenforceable, it is limited to the minimum extent necessary and the rest remain in force.
• No waiver. Not enforcing a provision is not a waiver of it.
• Assignment. You may not transfer these Terms; we may, in connection with a transfer of the App.

16Changes

We may update these Terms. The current version is always at this address, with the date at the top. Continuing to use the App after a change means you accept it; if you do not, uninstall the App.
