Frequently Asked Questions

Open QR Craft and tap the Scan tab at the bottom. Point your camera at any QR code or barcode — the app detects it automatically. There is no need to tap a button; scanning is continuous and hands-free.

You must grant camera permission the first time you use the scanner. If you denied the permission, go to Android Settings → Apps → QR Craft → Permissions → Camera to enable it.

Yes. On the Scan screen, tap the Gallery button in the bottom toolbar. Select any image from your photo gallery and QR Craft will detect and decode any QR code or barcode in it.

QR Craft can scan and decode the following formats:

• QR Code (all versions)
• URL, plain text, email, phone number, SMS
• WiFi network credentials (SSID & password)
• Contact cards (vCard / MeCard)
• Calendar events (iCal)
• Geographic location
• UPI payment links
• Common 1D barcodes: EAN-13, EAN-8, Code 128, Code 39, UPC-A, UPC-E, ITF, Codabar, Data Matrix, Aztec, PDF417

Yes. A zoom slider is displayed near the top of the scan screen, below the header. Drag the slider right to zoom in (useful for small or distant QR codes) and left to zoom out for a wider view.

Tap the torch icon in the top-right corner of the Scan screen to toggle the flashlight on or off. It is useful when scanning in low-light conditions.

Yes. Go to Settings → Scan Feedback. You can independently enable or disable:

• Vibrate on scan — a short haptic pulse when a code is detected
• Beep on scan — a short audio beep when a code is detected

Tap the Create button (the + tab) in the bottom navigation bar. Choose the type of QR code you want to create (URL, text, contact, WiFi, etc.), fill in the required information, and tap Generate. Your QR code appears instantly on screen.

QR Craft supports creating QR codes for:

• URL — any web address
• Plain Text — any freeform text
• Contact (vCard) — name, phone, email, address
• WiFi — share network credentials
• Email — pre-filled email address and subject
• SMS — phone number and pre-filled message
• Phone — a phone number to dial
• Location — latitude/longitude coordinates
• Calendar Event — event name, date, and location
• UPI Payment — UPI ID and payment details

Yes. On the QR Preview screen after generating, tap Customize to access:

• Dot styles — classic square, rounded, dots, and more (Premium)
• Color templates — preset color combinations (Premium)

Basic black-and-white QR codes are available for free. Advanced customization requires a Premium subscription.

On the QR Preview screen, use the action buttons:

• Share — opens the Android share sheet to send the QR code image to any app
• Save — saves the QR code as a PNG image to your device gallery
• Copy — copies the encoded value to your clipboard

All created QR codes are saved to your History tab under the “Created” section. They are stored locally on your device in a private database. They are never uploaded to any server.

Batch Scan mode lets you scan multiple QR codes in a single session without the camera stopping after each scan. All scanned codes are collected in a side panel that slides in from the left. This is useful at events, warehouses, or any situation where you need to scan many codes quickly.

On the Scan screen, toggle the Batch switch in the bottom toolbar. When batch mode is active, the camera keeps scanning continuously and each new unique code is added to the batch panel on the left side of the screen.

Each item in the batch panel has three action buttons:

• Copy — copies the scanned value to your clipboard
• Share — opens the Android share sheet with the scanned value
• Delete — removes that item from the current batch

You can also tap Clear all at the top of the panel to remove all items at once. All batch scan results are saved to your History automatically.

Free users can use batch scan with a limited number of codes per session. Premium subscribers enjoy unlimited batch scanning with no session cap.

Tap the History tab in the bottom navigation bar. You will see a list of all scanned codes sorted by most recent first. You can filter by QR type, search by value, and view favourites separately.

In the History screen, tap the star icon on any item to toggle its favourite status. Favourite items can be filtered using the Favourites filter in the History tab.

Yes — Premium subscribers can export their complete scan and creation history as a CSV file. Go to History → Export (the export button in the top bar). The CSV file is created on your device and opened in the Android share sheet so you can save it or send it to any app.

The CSV contains two sections: Scanned History and Created QR Codes, each with type, value, timestamp, source, and favourite status.

To delete individual items, swipe left on any history item or open it and tap the delete icon. To clear all history, go to Settings → Clear History.

When you scan a QR code that contains a URL, QR Craft can check the URL against Google Safe Browsing to detect phishing sites, malware, and other threats. The result is shown as a safety badge on the scan result screen.

• 🟢 Safe — no known threats detected
• 🔴 Dangerous — the URL is flagged as a threat
• 🟡 Checking… — the check is in progress
• 🟤 Safety unavailable — the check is disabled or could not complete

Yes. When URL safety is enabled, the scanned URL is sent to Google’s Safe Browsing API servers over the internet. QR Craft does not log or store the URLs you check — they are sent directly to Google and the result is returned.

Go to Settings → URL Safety and toggle off Enable URL Safety Check. When disabled, no URLs are sent to Google and no safety badge is shown.

A red warning badge is shown on the scan result screen. QR Craft will warn you and allow you to decide whether to open the URL or not. We strongly recommend not opening URLs flagged as dangerous.

Premium removes all advertisements and unlocks:

Both plans provide the same Premium features. Prices are shown in your local currency in the app via Google Play.

Open the Google Play Store app on your device, tap your profile icon → Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions, find QR Craft, and tap Cancel subscription. Your Premium access continues until the end of the current billing period.

Open the app and go to Settings → Premium → Restore Purchase, or tap Restore Purchase on the Premium screen. Make sure you are signed in to the same Google account that made the original purchase. Your Premium status will be restored automatically.

Refunds are handled entirely by Google Play. Please visit the Google Play refund page ↗ to request a refund. QR Craft cannot process refunds directly.

Go to Settings → Appearance. QR Craft offers multiple theme presets including light and dark variants with different accent color palettes. Tap any preset to apply it instantly across the app.

When you scan a URL QR code, this setting controls what happens automatically:

• Copy + Ask — copies the URL to clipboard and shows a prompt letting you choose to open or dismiss it
• Open Directly — immediately opens the URL in your browser
• Copy Only — copies the URL to clipboard silently with no prompt

Find this setting in Settings → URL Behavior.

When enabled, QR Craft automatically copies the raw value of every scanned code to your clipboard immediately upon detection — before the result screen appears. Enable or disable it in Settings → Auto-copy on Scan.

No. All scan history and created QR codes are stored only on your device in a local database. Nothing is uploaded to any server. There are no user accounts and no cloud sync.

No. The camera is only active while the Scan tab is open and you are actively using the scanner. When you navigate away from the scan screen, the camera is stopped. QR Craft does not access the camera in the background.

Go to Settings → Clear History to delete all scan and creation history stored in the app. Alternatively, uninstalling the app removes all locally stored data as per Android’s app sandbox model.

Try these steps:

• Make sure the QR code is well-lit and in focus — use the torch if needed
• Hold your device steady and ensure the QR code fills most of the scan frame
• Check that camera permission is granted (Android Settings → Apps → QR Craft → Permissions)
• Try the zoom slider to adjust the focal distance for small or distant codes
• If the camera is blurry, wipe the lens and try again
• For difficult codes, try Gallery Scan using a photo taken with your native camera app

Try restoring your purchase: go to the Premium screen and tap Restore Purchase. Make sure you are signed in to the same Google account used for the original purchase. If the issue persists, contact us at contact@epsilondevelopers.xyz with your purchase details.

Please email contact@epsilondevelopers.xyz with a description of what you were doing, what happened, and your device model and Android version. Screenshots or screen recordings are very helpful. We aim to respond within 3 business days.

Camera permission is required to use the live QR code scanner. Without it, QR Craft cannot access your device’s camera to detect QR codes in real time. The camera is never used for any other purpose and is not accessed in the background. Gallery scan works without camera permission.

Theme changes on the scan screen take effect immediately the next time the scan view refreshes (e.g., when you toggle the torch or adjust zoom). If you notice the corner brackets or scan line still showing the old color, toggling the torch once and back will trigger a repaint. This behavior is expected and will be improved in a future update.
